Tucked away in Hackney’s Yorkton Street sits one of East London’s most compelling creative venues, Yorkton Workshops. Available to hire for events, exhibitions, and brand activations, Yorkton Workshops was once a series of derelict Victorian stables. Today, the site has been carefully reimagined by award-winning design studio Pearson Lloyd into a multifunctional creative space that celebrates design, sustainability, and history.

Craft, Character and Conscious Design
More than just a gallery or event space, Yorkton Workshops tells a story of preservation and purpose. Instead of demolishing and rebuilding, Pearson Lloyd made the bold decision to retain and restore the existing site — salvaging original brickwork, steel, and timber to form the backbone of the new design. The result is a space that is both modern and timeless, raw and refined. With a 43% reduction in emissions and a 66% reduction in embodied carbon compared to a new-build timber structure, it’s a rare example of how beauty and sustainability can co-exist.

- A fully fitted kitchen, accessible facilities, and a self-contained entrance for hire

The space has already welcomed leading design names and rising fashion brands alike — most recently, cult label Seventh held their sample sale at Yorkton Workshops, with queues lining the street.
