Tea & Tequila’s London Pop-Up

Celebrating Craft, Culture and Community

In June, Tea & Tequila opened its week-long pop-up in London, bringing the warmth of Mexico and the edge of contemporary British design to the capital. Founded by friends Sarah Goodwin and Millie Bellville, the brand bridges two cultures through handcrafted jewellery, clothing, and accessories—each piece an embodiment of heritage and technique.

Hosted at 15 Bateman Street in the heart of Soho, the event ran from June 18–23 and was more than just a retail moment; it was a celebration of artisanal excellence, slow fashion values, and the connections that shape creative communities.

The Week at a Glance

Opening day welcomed early visitors with goodie bags, while Thursday extended hours into the evening with Panela Bakery cookies and cocktails by Batched and Picoso. On Friday, guests discovered their aura with spiritual readings by Agne Aurelia, and the weekend unfolded with a surprise series of events, all leading up to the final day on Monday.

The Setup

To help translate Tea & Tequila’s signature aesthetic into a shoppable experience, the team partnered with FoundPop for design-led, sustainable furniture rentals. Display cases with lockable glass tops highlighted gemstone jewellery crafted by artisans like Pablo and Max, while steel hanging rails and sleek tables gave structure to clothing designed in collaboration with Carmen’s team, Luna, and the Chamula community.

Behind Every Piece: A Story

From the mountains of Chiapas to Mexico City’s hidden workshops, Tea & Tequila’s pieces are created in partnership with skilled craft workers. The brand’s commitment to transparency and sustainability was evident throughout the pop-up, offering Londoners a window into the traditions and relationships behind every stitch and stone.

More Than a Pop-Up

True to their motto “Todo acto de creación es un acto de amor” – every act of creation is an act of love – Tea & Tequila’s London space was a heartfelt expression of intentional design, slow production, and cultural exchange. And thanks to thoughtful furniture design from FoundPop, each product was given space to shine.
