A spotlight on last month’s epic Graduate Fashion Week in East London.
Hosted at the Truman Brewery across three days, the annual Graduate Fashion Week (GFW), organised by the Graduate Fashion Foundation (GFF), is a pivotal event that bridges the gap between fashion education and employment. As a charitable organisation, GFF supports and empowers emerging designers by offering a platform to showcase their talent. This year’s three-day event in June featured over 3,500 graduates, attracting top industry professionals, press, and recruiters eager to discover new talent and offer employment opportunities. GFF’s efforts extend beyond GFW with year-round events, mentorship programs, and international showcases, ensuring continuous support for graduates.

The 2024 edition of GFW highlighted the work of graduates from dozens of universities, including renowned fashion institutions. The event included catwalk shows, university exhibitions, and workshops led by industry leaders, underscoring GFF’s commitment to fostering innovation and diversity in fashion. GFF has been instrumental in launching the careers of iconic designers such as Stella McCartney and Christopher Bailey MBE, emphasising its role as a cornerstone of the fashion community.
