An Intimate LFW Debut
During London Fashion Week, womenswear designer Mira Maktabi unveiled her latest collection, Wardrobe 26, in a private trunk show tucked away in Shoreditch’s Gegend Gallery. The event offered an intimate glimpse into the designer’s world, where meticulous tailoring, cultural heritage, and thoughtful storytelling converged.
Curated by Zina Jamil of Studio Deïmé, the trunk show combined fashion with a sensory experience. Guests were welcomed with brunch and cocktails inspired by Middle Eastern flavours, including traditional mini Lebanese ka’ak by Common Breads, fresh figs, grapes, cheeses, and tarts infused with orange blossom water and white chocolate. Each gesture reflected Mira’s Lebanese heritage while complementing the collection’s refined elegance.

Wardrobe 26: Celebrating Women
The collection itself celebrated the private rituals of women through the evening wardrobe. Mira’s designs emphasized fit, silhouette, and longevity while offering subtle experimentation: draped necklines, flowing sleeves, and trousers tailored to nurture curves. Each garment was crafted in London from Savile Row wool and fine silks, with hidden details such as silk satin linings and chiffon panels reinforcing the brand’s slow-fashion ethos.
Craftsmanship and Celebration
Design-led furniture was provided by FoundPop, creating a setting that seamlessly blended elegance with intimacy. The trunk show invited visitors to pre-order pieces alongside cocktails by The Mixology Brothers, supported by MUJEN spirits. The collaboration between event partners ensured the Wardrobe 26 collection experience embodied Mira Maktabi’s commitment to timeless design, cultural nuance, and meaningful craftsmanship.
