The Art of Hosting an Album Release
Produced by: Amelia Studios
Venue: Protein Studios, Shoreditch
The Opportunity
Album releases are no longer just about listening — they’re about creating a physical moment fans want to step into.
For the launch of Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent in 2023, Amelia Studios produced a two-day pop-up that balanced cultural impact with operational efficiency. The goal was to create an experience that felt emotionally aligned with the album, while remaining fast to install, flexible in layout, and easy to scale.

The Format
The pop-up reimagined the traditional gallery space as a walk-through experience. Campaign visuals, selfie moments, and a staircase installation taken from the album artwork guided visitors through the space, encouraging pause points without interrupting flow.
The format proved that an album release doesn’t need heavy staging to feel immersive. It needs a clear visual language and a layout that supports movement, dwell time, and retail.

FoundPop’s Role
FoundPop supplied a sleek furniture setup that could adapt to the space and the pace of the event, supporting both display and sales without locking the layout in.
- 3 rails
- 2 cash desks
- 4 display cabinets
- 2 shelving units
- 5 large plinths
- 2 medium plinths
Rental duration: 2 days
Installation time: 45 minutes
The fast install gave the production team more time to focus on content, talent, and audience experience, not build logistics.
Why This Matters
For agencies, producers and artist management teams, this project shows how album releases can be:
- Delivered quickly without compromising on creative intent
- Built modularly, allowing layouts to change with footfall or programming
- Scaled or repeated across cities using the same core setup
- Budget-rational, with fewer custom builds and faster turnaround times

The Takeaway
This pop-up demonstrates a repeatable model for album launches: short-term, high-impact, and emotionally aligned with the artist, without the operational drag of permanent builds.
For teams planning future release moments, the lesson is clear: when space, furniture and production are aligned, you get more freedom to focus on what matters — the artist, the fans, and the moment.
