Sustainable Pop-Up Inspiration

It has been a busy start to the new year with Pure London x JATC, Damson Madder, Scamp and Dude, London Fashion Week, and more all popping up. These days, it is uncommon for the topic of sustainability not to come up in our briefs.

FoundPop was created with two core focuses, design and sustainability, aligning well with brands looking to weave their eco-efforts through the campaign narrative.

With environmentally conscious consumers asking for more from brands, here’s a snapshot of sustainable pop-up starters to share with your marketing teams.

RECYCLE

Brands like Reformation are pioneering circular fashion, emphasising clothing longevity and recyclability.

Our suggestion, host a circular fashion pop-up that features clothing made from recycled materials. Invite fashion creators and industry experts to share advice on recycling clothes and shopping sustainably.

REUSABLE

Embracing minimalism and ingenuity, MUJI’s Eco-Pavilion pop-up focused on functionality and reducing environmental impact. Similar to FoundPop’s unique no-parts design, MUJI’s pop-up ensured each piece interlocks with ease to build reusable furniture.

RENEW

We should all be inspired by Patagonia’s initiative ‘Worn Wear’. To address society’s unfortunate habit of placing convenience over conservation, those of us in Europe can visit any Patagonia store for steps on how to get your item repaired if needed. Better yet, the Worn Wear team is going on tour, popping up in several cities offering free repairs, including the UK.

Our suggestion, take a note out of Patagonia’s book and pop-up offering free fixes to your customer’s favourite finds. Reengage with your community while also helping to reduce materials sent to the landfill.

REWORK

Last year, the likes of Stella McCartney integrated previous Christmas celebration set-ups such as lights and artwork into an entirely new pop-up with Selfridges, giving a second life to past props during the holiday season.

Being resourceful and reworking previous store displays is a holiday tradition we can get behind. FoundPop furniture rentals are designed to be standalone pieces as well as allow for complete customisation for every brand.
